The 4D Process

Our ISD Approach to Training

Continue

With over 30 years’ experience designing training solutions for organizations – from military to corporate, we know how to provide effective training solutions within budget, maximizing employee productivity and increasing learning retention.

Our four-phase systems approach is an adaptation of one of the most common instructional design models – the ADDIE model.

Determine. In the first phase, the instructional challenge of the course is detailed by reviewing current materials and interviewing both Subject Matter Experts (SME) and the target population in order to DETERMINE the learning objectives. These objectives are then approved by the SMEs and stakeholders.

Design. We take the learning objectives and DESIGN the content, assessment instruments, exercises, subject matter analysis, and lesson planning and media selection. Each learning objective is developed in a storyboard. The storyboard is a document which contains all aspects of the finished product to include, interactivities, media, navigation, and instructional text. At the conclusion of the design phase we develop several working prototypes for the client to choose from.

Develop. At 4D Global, we DEVELOP multimedia content that engages every student, immersing them into the training environment through the use of elements such as text, graphics, animation, digital video, and audio.

Deliver. Whether an Internet application, an interactive DVD, an eLearning application, or a turnkey Multimedia Learning Classroom, it is our commitment to DELIVER a complete solution that is on schedule and within budget. Because we have worked directly with you during each step of the process, nothing is left to chance. We walk with you through the implementation and evaluation of your solution to ensure your satisfaction.
